    Default Recommended FTP?

Do FTP differ much? Any recommendation on the "best" free FTP to use?

    Thanks much for your input!

Filezilla is a pretty good free FTP program. I particularly like that it makes it easy to manage a lot of FTP accounts.

I second that. I treid a few and this ended up being the best - and free.

FireFTP is pretty good too. I like how it's integrated into Firefox. However, I had to drop it when I went over about 50 domains. It just doesn't have the features to manage that number of sites that well.

I use Filezilla and CuteFTP. Both are pretty good FTP clients.

I use filezilla too. I also use a web based ftp , but it is only for my hosting services, which works very well .

but for all other ftp stuff I use filezilla.

A bit late to the party, but I use WinSCP (http://winscp.net/eng/index.php) - it has good drag/drop support between Windows Explorer, and full support for FTP over SSH (SCP), which you should really be using if your host supports it.

WinSCP is what I use too, SirCaptain.

I have a shell account with my host, so am able to login once and see all my sites rather than having to go in and out of each separately. That can be handy at times.

    On Mac I use Fetch.
