Getting Comments Box to Disappear?

Can anyone tell me how to get the comments on my blog to be as they are on Ben's blog?

At the moment I have horrible big comments boxes at the end of every post. How do I get it so that there is just a number of comments shown and visitors have to click that to go to the comments?

I am a techno-idiot so clear instructions like you would give to a 3-year-old would be nice

I am using a dateless sniper theme.

I am facing likewise same problem when I move the mouse cursor over the expanded comment, everything within that comment disappears except the video thumbnail.
